Hello I am Beverley, I was literally born a hairdresser! I was named after a bottle of shampoo {but that is another story to share with you}.
I grew up on a farm in Hambleden. My passion for hair creation started when I was very young, by 4 years old I was colouring my dolls hair with the ink from tubes of felt tip pens with added water! At 13 I had a Saturday job in a Hairdressing salon in Marlow.
By 15 years old I thought I was a stylist? I was making money cutting the other teenagers hair at school in the gym changing rooms. At 16 years old, I had an apprenticeship for 3 years with a salon in Henley on Thames, where I attended Henley College 2 days a week to obtain my City & Guilds qualifications, I worked in Henley as a stylist for many years, training and working alongside, Wella, L oreal and vidal sassoon.
When I started my beautiful family, I then worked mobile, this gave me flexibility and much varied work. I would visit clients in their private homes or travel to London wedding venues & hotels, I did hairdressing in cottage hospitals, care homes, hospices and for 4 years I had a contract cutting hair for the inmates in a young offenders prison every weekend!
When my beautiful children had all become independant I returned back to salon life to another salon in Henley on thames.
Since being back in the salon life, over the course of the last 5 yrs I have worked in a few different salons, never really finding what I was looking for. I like to give a personal service and take my time to give that quality cut, blow dry or colour service to each and every client. I am not about quantity, I am all about quality. I do not like to work to a production line of heads.
I make your hair look good and that makes you feel good, that makes me feel good, this is my job satisfaction, my passion my skill and why I absolutely love being a hairdresser. I am truly blessed to now have my little dream salon Bevara.
I have continued with training and education along side some of the best in the hair industry, to stay current and modern. The industry is always changing moving forward with products and techniques, it has come on along way in the last 20 years low and slow with bleach services, low peroxides, less chemicals, balayage, babylights, slices, weaves, root smudge, root taps to name but a few.
